Men's circles
Men need other men.
Most of us forgot how to be with other men without competing, joking it off, or getting drunk. The circle is a place to remember: to breathe, move, speak honestly, and be met.
Why circles
Brotherhood is a practice.
I believe a lot of men are suffering in silence, about their bodies, their minds, their sexuality, their loneliness, and have been for so long it feels normal. And hurting men tend to pass their hurt on.
A circle interrupts that. When a man hears another man say the thing he thought only he felt, something unlocks. Shame doesn't survive being witnessed with care.
I've been facilitating groups for most of my working life, from therapeutic recreation programs to workshops on breath, trance and erotic embodiment. Circles are where I've seen people change the fastest.
An evening in the circle
What actually happens.
-
01
Arrive
Tea, a proper hello, and a short check-in round. Nobody has to perform.
-
02
Move
Qi Gong and breathwork to get out of our heads and into the room. No experience needed.
-
03
Explore
A theme for the evening: desire, anger, touch, fathers, purpose, pleasure, shame. A short teaching, then we get into it.
-
04
Share
Speaking and listening, in pairs and in the circle. Honest, unpolished, witnessed.
-
05
Practice
Something embodied to take home: a breath, a trance, a question, a dare.
-
06
Close
We land it, appreciate each other, and head back into the world a little lighter.

Agreements
A strong container.
Like any good incubator, the circle works because of what's in it, and what isn't. These agreements make it safe enough to go deep.
What's said here stays here.
Stories stay in the room. Lessons can leave with you.
Speak for yourself.
"I" statements, from your own experience.
No fixing.
We listen more than we advise. If you want input, ask for it.
Consent, always.
Including the right to pass, to say no, and to change your mind.
Come clear.
Arrive sober and as present as you can.
Bring your sense of humour.
This is deep work. It doesn't have to be heavy work.
Next circle
